Some things to consider with a gate:
- All gates require some manual assisting to lift or lower the gate. Gates are best suited for moderate to low pass-through traffic. Alternatives such as a cross-over stairway should be considered if it is a high traffic area.
- When a gate is open, product flow is hindered. Consider what effect this has on any upstream processes or if additional electrical controls are needed to control the product flow.
- Consider what happens if product is resting on the gate when someone wants to open it. This is a major concern if the gate creates passage to an emergency exit.
Manual Gates are available for use with a variety of conveyors. Gates provide a passageway for personnel, lift trucks, and other equipment.
